Our team has a wide range of skills and there are no two people with identical strengths and experience. From finance to materials scientists, QC to sales, purchasing to toolmaking, we need a diverse team of people to make our cogs turn smoothly. Take a look at our current vacancies below.

Sales Engineer

Are you an engineer with a passion for selling technical solutions?

Would you enjoy influencing design choices and supporting clients throughout a project?

Are you an ideas person with the drive to make things happen?

We provide high-end, bespoke rubber products for industries at the cutting-edge of technology such as aerospace, motorsport and Industry 4.0 manufacturers. Our solutions and materials are often required to operate reliably in extreme conditions such as at high temperatures, under pressure or in corrosive environments. We manufacture in low to medium volumes, to high tolerances and quality requirements and in a range of technically demanding materials and configurations.

We are looking for an individual with ambition, and you will be joining us during a growth phase and working with an established sales team who already service a number of high-profile international clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and interpreting customers’ technical requirements
  • Supporting and educating customers in selecting the appropriate materials and solutions to meet their needs
  • Development of opportunities with customers/industries
  • Negotiation of pricing and contractual terms
  • New business development and growth of key accounts
  • Product costing, project management
  • Supporting marketing with new initiatives and sales projects
  • Liaising with internal sales staff and technical support
  • Networking and development of commercial contacts

Ideal candidates will have experience of selling engineered products into an industrial client base and it would be a bonus if that experience relates to elastomers, polymers or composite materials so that you can get stuck in from the get-go.

Because our clients expect our sales engineers to be able to talk to them about their challenges and our proposed solutions, a core level of technical ability is a must-have, and this would ideally include a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent although an academic qualification is not essential if you can demonstrate experience in the field.

Darren Yearsley

Moulding Operator

Are you happiest when making something you can be proud of? Are you keen to work on exciting projects for Formula 1, aerospace and defence?

Do you have experience in rubber moulding, or in a factory environment working with materials and machinery to produce a component?

Are you used to working with light industrial machinery?

We’re a tight-knit team who enjoy working together to get things made well and delivered on time. Thanks to our success, the business is growing and we’re looking for a Moulding Operator to join our rubber moulding team based at our site near the Docks in Southampton.

This means you will be manufacturing vulcanised rubber products using hydraulic presses which can range from 20 tonnes to 500 tonnes. The specific moulding methods we use are compression, transfer and injection moulding techniques – and whether you become a specialist in one of those or experienced in all three, you’ll be playing a key part in our production team.

We work with many different products and customers, so you’ll need to be willing to troubleshoot issues as and when they arise whilst maintaining the high levels of quality that we are known for. You will be comfortable communicating with others and pc literate with experience of working with light industrial machinery, and you already understand what it means to work within the requirements of HSE.

Although no formal training is required, experience in a rubber moulding or similar environment is highly desirable.

Hours are available in shifts and you’ll be joining one of our two 4-day fixed shift teams in a busy moulding environment. The work is rewarding and requires precision along with manual handling capability.

Maintenance Technician

Would you like to play an important part in a production team, ensuring that equipment runs as it should, when it should, to meet critical deadlines for customers in industries such as motorsport and aerospace?

Do you have knowledge of CNC/PLC Control Systems?

Have you got experience in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical engineering?

We’re a tight-knit team who enjoy working together to get things made well and delivered on time. Thanks to our success, the business is growing and we’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Southampton.

You’ll be maintaining and repairing hydraulics on rubber moulding presses as well as electrical systems on a range of plant and equipment used throughout the business such as CNC machining centres, toolmaking machines, compressed air equipment and general facilities. No two days will be alike, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible, has a can-do attitude and is very adaptable. You’ll be working with high-profile, cutting-edge clients, so your role is critical to our business.

A knowledge of CNC/PLC Control Systems would be extremely useful but not essential.
